Tinh – Acoustic Rain

Tinh (pronounced “Dun”) grew up in Vietnam, both during and after the war. His mother married an American and he followed his new family to his father’s new assignment in Pakistan. Then the family wound up in the Philippines where Tinh finished high school before the final move to Oregon.

He then studied the classical guitar. His first album My Vietnamese Suite, produced by legendary folk-blues guitarist, John Fahey. This album was met with critical acclaim. However, the music business paying what it does, Tinh refocused his career towards landscaping in order to support his wife and their young son.

A successful business has, luckily, allowed Tinh to return to music with this wonderful acoustic album.

Entirely composed of solo guitar pieces, Acoustic Rain delved into Tinh’s soul and allows us a vision of his life.

His techniques are quite different from most of what’s out there and his sound will definitely capture your attention and captivate you more than what else is out there. Certainly an album you’ll want to experience time after time.
