Artesguitars – Devices in Popmusic

The first impression while listening to this album is that Artesguitars must be a very fun guy. This is a very fun album. This sentiment of fun is not only present in the music, but also in the song titles (Throwing Hippos, Flying Zebras,Four Lue Lydians immediately followed by Three Giants).

A skillful guitarist, but one who also plays with emotions. Covering various genres of music, always with taste and a lot of originality. One is even glad there are no vocals on this album. A little bit of this and a little bit of that, always with an obvious smile until the final moment when you are faced with a brilliant rendition of Paganini’s Capriccio, Op.1 No. 24. The only serious moment on the album.

Highly recommended to anyone who enjoys the sound of a guitar.
