Anyone know anything about this person? He poses some interesting scenarios and points toward his website, but there hasn't been anything blatantly misleading. I've participated in some threads, but I feel like he's working an angle. Am I off base?

He does seem to have a way about him; the thread about guitarists being musicians or not was the low point in my opinion of him.

I don't think there's any malice in what he does, but he could sure do with thinking some before he speaks.
