Not sure repeating my third line makes A LOT of sense, but I wanted to stick to the pattern to see how it works out, and it seemed ok after a while
And, no, a cyclist isn't technically an object, I know  Also, the third line of the choruses is meant to be sung by someone else (imagined addressee, as the mad-lib pattern said!) :D

Laughter Tracks

A cyclist yells
The traffic lights stop dead
And we lose our heads in laughter tracks
See, that tree branch is shaking like we are
Oh, I remember the day I was sat on it
And we lose our heads in laughter tracks

And we lose our heads in laughter tracks
We barely made it across the street
- That's because you were set on waiting for green
And we lose our heads in laughter tracks

The speakers crackle
The rain moans and hackles
And we lose our heads in laughter tracks
As Emily and Lorelai divide animals and ark
Oh, this will never get boring
And we lose our heads in laughter tracks

And we lose our heads in laughter tracks
We barely made it to bed
- That's because you put the DVD on repeat
And we lose our heads in laughter tracks

Now the lampposts glow
The stove is cold
And I lose my head in laughter tracks
You will do too when I tell you
It is 4am and I'm wide awake
And losing my head in laughter tracks

Cheers and hope you're all having a merry, snowy Christmas!

Hi Straycat,

I like the title and hook line....clever :D .....so is the first verse a scene from tv shows or movies on a DVD and the whole setting is someone watching tv?

I suppose you'd have an upbeat bright song for this one (add laughter track as background)

Merry Christmas!

James

Thanks, James!

Actually, the first verse was a shared experience of singer and singee, second verse was singer and singee watching a favourite tv series (did you guess it was Gilmore Girls?) and the third verse was the singer watching that series by themselves.

Your interpretation almost makes more sense though :D

aww, YES!! Deadly idea, thanks! Hooray laughter tracks!

Cheers,
straycat.

No, I don't/didn't follow the show, but if I had done a quick google search, the reference should have made it clearer to me
