so i have this video of john mayer at the "React Now" benifet concert for Katrina, id like to put the song on my ipod though, and my ipod is old and does not take video files.
is there any program or software that will seperate audio from video so that i can make the wave data or audio data into MP3?
thanks

I've been trying to find one too. There's some ones that you can buy searching google, but I've yet to find a free one.
I'd love to convert my Led Zep and SRV dvd's to audio.
The first time I heard a Beatles song was "Let It Be." Some little kid was singing along with it: "Let it pee, let it pee" and pretending he was taking a leak. Hey, that's what happened, OK?-some guy
If you have time on your hands you can play it in Windows Media Player or a PC DVD player and record it via stereo mix in Audacity. You can then edit and split the songs out. Save them as WAV or MP3 and rip it to CD with WMP also.
I also did see a sound stripper to extract audio but I don't remember where. Try searching on "video to audio".
I have software for that at home - i cant remember the name right now - i'll give it a look when i get home and let you know what it's called.
