Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows of a guitar that is shaped/sounds like a Rickenbacker for a cheap to modest price. Thank you.

Rondo Music sells an Agile model called the "Harm" (most likely short for harmony). It is a semi acoustic, that with the right pickups installed will give you that jangle. In fact, most semi hollows, with the right pickups, will sound close.

I put a set of these really inexpensive, but great sounding pickups into an Epi Sheraton, and it sounds very close to my Rickenbacker:

What country are you in? Rickenbacker very aggressively blocks look-alikes in the US. You can find a handful overseas though.

CFB's suggestion is good for getting close to the sound.

I'm in Canada, and as far as looks go, it doesn't have to be spot on. It can be something that even remotely resembles the body style. Thanks for the tip on the sound . :)
