A much underappreciated holiday, I think!
Mrs. R. and I celebrate it rather than Valentine's Day, as we became engaged on Groundhog Day 30 years ago. She doesn't yet know it, but I've got the roses and gifts ready, and just created a romantic Groundhog Day card. They're rather sparse on the shelves in the card shops.
Y'all have a good one, but don't overdo the celebration. Keep it safe!

Well Happy GroundHog's Day to both you and the misses then Ric! :D

You sound like a sneakie conniving' bastid..... like me.
is there perhaps a special couples choreography (e.g., the groundhog gavotte) integral to this festive celebration?

Something tells me he'll be breakin' out his johnson today.
I certainly hope so! :D
The other stuff went over well this morning. Got to make a foray to the jewelry shop...

Happy GH day, Ric'. I hope all went well.
Me and the Battleaxe got engaged 20 years ago this coming Monday. We had this conversation a couple of days ago.
BA: Isn't the 4th the day you proposed?
Me: (some hesitation and a bit of time delay) YES IT WAS!
BA: Laughter. She knew she had me forgetting that one.

Mrs. R loved the card I made her, the roses, and especially the 2 stuffed groundhogs (not the taxidermical sort) I got her, one of which is a puppet. She's been having fun making the puppet talk, and trying to come up with a groundhog rap.

Nice to see an "old" married couple can still have innocent fun after all those years. Ric, you old romantic, you! Hope you and Mrs Ric have many, many more happy years together! Not only that, but the kids turned out pretty good too. Sheeesh - I must have murdered an archbishop in a previous life!
:D :D :D
