One of the greats, bar none.

I'm not a big bluegrass or country fan but you cannot deny his contribution to music. How many people can you name who have INVENTED a style of playing singlehandedly?

I actually try using three fingered rolls when I play. One of these days I'll get it right!

When I die, I want to go peacefully in my sleep like my grandfather, not screaming......
like the passengers in his car.

Steve Martin once said that you just can't listen to banjo music without feeling better(or something like that). Earl Scruggs has probably influenced as many kids to play banjo or bluegrass as the Beatles and Stones did to influence kids to play Rock and guitar music. Kids are still playing bluegrass at an early age. So this will serve as a tribute to Mr Scruggs.
