I just got my first guitar for Christmas, an Epiphone PR-150. Like all the other newbies waiting (impatiently!) for my fingers to harden up so I can practice longer. I've had lots of family friends growing up that all played and it was certainly an inspiration to get into it, but my major motivation was playing Guitar Hero with some friends and realizing that with the same amount of time I was putting into that cheezy plastic controller I could actually learn to play something real!
All the world's a stage, but the play is poorly cast
