Our friends at Thomann have a couple of really good amp offers.

They've seen the popularity of Epi tube amps and now have their own 5W beast (here). Very similar to the epi, but with tone knob

For not much more they have the Peavey Nano Valve - another 5W combo.

I intend to get myself one or the other - just deciding which.

I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.

Thanks - I now have GAS again, that little GA-5 looks the very thing for me AND its cheaper than a valve junior. Should sit nicely with my AD30, but then of course i'd need an overdrive, maybe a delay, compressor.................here we go again.

Of course, it makes it harder to bear that I dont have any money at the moment...............but its gone right onto my 'one day' GAS list, along with a 12 string acoustic and a hollowbody electric.

I do like the Thomann site and it has a good rep in the UK as far as I know.

I've dealt with Thomann a few times and always found them to be helpful.
Another good site is http://www.music-store.de - very similar to Thomann

Good spot Greybeard. The choice of small valve amps seems to be increasing all the time which can't be a bad thing. I like the look of the orange Tiny Terror but that is a whole different kettle of fish.

I am looking to maybe get one of these smally valve jobs in the near future so will add these 2 to my list to check out.

As for Thomann, I have dealt with them recently and can highly recommend them. They are competitive on price and their service and delivery are very good.

Here's the links to the aforementioned amps in English:

GA5
Peavey

8)

I've had a lot of sobering thoughts in my time.
It was them that turned me to drink.

I played the Peavey NanoValve yesterday and I gotta say that thing cranks for as small as it is. I only took it to 8 for a few minutes most of the time playing was at 5 and it sounds Smooooooth and creamy. I also tried a Behringer ac108 its alot cheaper but still a nice tube sound.
