Hi, I teach guitar at Seattle University and I wrote a book called, "The Guitar Lesson Companion." I posted guitar lessons that cover the entire book (149 pages!) on youtube for you to check out. A lot of students are learning a lot here without the book, but the students who are using the book to practice the exercises tell me great things. Obviously, I use the text with all of my University students, so, it's pretty serious stuff.

I'm not qualified to comment on the content, but I just want to say that your videos seem like they would be a great accompaniment to this type of book. I can imagine them being more helpful than the typical listen-along CD that comes with most books. Good work!

I've looked at the first couple of these and they are great. An excellent idea and yet another excellent way to approach learning guitar for the beginner and the intermediate fellow who needs that extra push with the theory and building blocks of guitar playing. It's one of those brilliant ideas that you'll look at and wonder why nobody thought of doing things this way before. She is a music teacher with a book she has written on learning guitar, we've all seen that before. But thanks to youtube you can hear and see the lessons and follow the examples, exercises and explanations. Like I said, most brilliant. I love seeing good ideas and hard work come together like that.

Enjoy your karma, after all you earned it.

I have been using The Guitar Lesson Companion right now for a little under 9 months and it as done me wonders. I started as an absolute beginner but now I can actually discuss the different concepts and techniques with my friends who have been playing for years. The book did a good job in preparing me with the basics and I done me wonders. I would recommend this book to anyone who would like to pick up guitar and learn it the right way!

The jam CD is also very awesome. Its go over 50 tracks and it makes practicing actually sounds cool and fun!
