I would recommend not getting a USB mic. They are very limited and will leave you wanting to spend more money. Find a used condenser on Craigslist or any of the online selling sites or even a pawn shop. You could probably find yourself a good used interface there as well. Try an older UR22 by Steinberg. Great bit of gear. You can then download Cakewalk by Bandlab(also free). I paid a lot of money for the previous version of Cakewalk (Sonar Platinum) before Bandlab bought them out and released their flagship DAW for free.
