my computer came with a host of tools. it also came with a player, Musicmatch jukebox. that program has been abamdoned by the maker. yahoo, com picked it up. but then is dropping it later this year. I use that jukebox to listen to recordings I made. I can listen to a WAV file and then compare when I change it to mp3. I used to be able to use that to burn CDs. it no longer has the driver.
the cd driver that is in the computer sucks.
can someone recommend a CD burner download?
i used this in the past without too many problems before i got my dvdburners which came bundled with nero.

I'm pretty sure Windows Media Player will burn CDs. I use iTunes, it works pretty well. And you can add .wav and .mp3 files to compare them. You can even add the .wav file and convert to mp3 in iTunes and it will keep both files.
I have checked out nero. the site said free download. then asked for a one time charge, then when filling out the crdit info I saw that I would be charged even more. I backed away from that. I heard nero was good. now I am iffy and confused.
my computer should be able to burn cds. it's a Dell with windows. the trouble is the ease and quality. I find neither in that program.
I know about iTunes capability but I don't use iTunes for music. it is a stand alone program that can burn CD's?
Hi Dogbite,
Just use Windows Media Player. It's the standard microsoft Windows music app, it's free and it's good.
