I don't care for the string around the neck by the nut to mount the strap on my acoustic. Would it be ok to mount one of those button things on the body or the curved reinforcement piece at the body/neck area?
Thanx, GWR

I am no expert with acoustics, but mine has a strap button an the heel of the neck (the under side) where the neck meets the body. I am not at home, or I would take a picture of it.

I did it myself on my Tanglewood Dreadnought and followed the instruction here
http://frets.com/FRETSPages/Musician/GenSetup/StrapButton/strapbutton2.html
I mounted the strap button on the treble side heel of the neck.

I have been trying to get up the nerve to put a button on my acoustic/electric for some time now.
