Something bad is happening to my guitar I have no clue what to do about it.

The portion below the bridge started getting bulgy and now the bridge is inclined at a very bad angle. It's definitely coming off and I took it to the shop where I bought it. They told me the only thing that can be done is to wait untill it rips apart completely and then fix it. This is my first guitar and I have no experience with guitars. What should I do? I'm really worried.
