guitars really have no feelings. I know I know it sounds like blasphamy . but they don't.
the temperture change is what is crucial.
after your guitar arrives from ice cold shipment. do not open it for at least five hours. let the package acclimate to your room temperature.
if you open it up right at delivery chances are great that condensation will form inside and out. the moisture will hurt the electronics and the temp swing can craze the finish.

YES, I got one of those coupons, too.

I can't find anything I want except that Gibby....and I still have 45 days left to decide.

...Anybody else get the 20% off coupon from Musician's Friend? They sent it out to people who "went on strike." You could save up to 1000 dollars with that thing.

How did you get the coupon? I'm thinking of spending about $400 this week. That would really help.

I've had 'em arrive in way-below-freezing weather, and they were COLD! Fortunately, shipped with the strings detuned a bit, but that doesn't always get done. That's one thing that can wreck a guitar, when the strings tighten up from contracting in the cold. Won't likely, though.

I got that AND a $15 credit from when I complained and asked for a discount on the order I eventually ended up canceling.

Offered it to a friend who was buying a Tele, but he won't buy online.

So I'm blowing it on a Mo' Joe pickup. Yawn.

Cool axe, by the way! Congrats!

it will be difficult being patient. if the box feels warm to your cheek open it up.

Noteboat...that is a cool pic. ghost like and frosty.

But that means, you didn't keep it in a safe and warm place as you want for yourself. This invites strict penalty under 'Guitars (Care & Repair) Act, 2008'.

Therefore its best to get the guit some heating and ensure that it is as comfy as you are. Oooh, I think its cold now...

Enjoy that Amrerican Deluxe mate! I've owned one since 2000 or so, and it is the best playing and sounding Strat I have ever had.

Congrats to you sir!
