Just for fun . . . and you get a two-for-one deal! By playing this in Am (the original was in Em) you'll use the same chord progression as House of the Rising Sun. So if you know the latter, you already know this one! Just hit the bass note of each chord, followed by a down-up stroke. (I probably made it look harder than it is by including the notation for the bass notes (after the / of each chord). This may help:
C: Bass is on 5th string
C/E: Bass is on 4th string

Am: Bass is on 5th string
Am/E:/D Bass is on 4th string

D7: Bass is on 4th string
D7/A: Bass is on 5th string

G7: Bass is on 6th string
G7/D: Bass is on 4th string

Also, I/ve included an optional walkdown/walkup in brackets
