I see this web site is going from detail lessons to just a easy song that you got off the web.
Is that so bad? I think not.
Just to get some songs into the data bank, maybe it would be ok to take in some easy to post songs. I think the readers would even kind of want something a little more challenging. Is this kind of format ok with everyone?

At least, this is how I play it and it sounds right. This will get you into the ballpark anyway. - Bull
Hey Bull, I checked your profile, same age as me. I am not so far away, NW Connecticut. You are near Boston?
Used to play this song in a band years ago.
I am a big Yardbirds fan. I like the song Evil Hearted You.
Thanks
If you know something better than Rock and Roll, I'd like to hear it - Jerry Lee Lewis
Hi, Bull
Its Saturday evening 9:00pm here in Cheltenham UK,
just had to reply to thank you for this.
Read this song, I reached for the acoustic and after a hesitant one strum for each chord of the intro I was hooked and had a ball re-creating this song. It helps if your old enough to remember how it goes.
( Clapton for the evening! well I can dream can't I?)
Many thanks
Chris
The guitar is all right John but you'll never make a living out of it! (John Lennon's Aunt Mimi)
GOOD ONE BULL! Haven't heard that song for a while - gonna dig it out & have a go. I know it's in the right key cos I got it out of a guitar book once!!!

LOVE THIS SONG......... ;)
Research is what I'm doing when I don't know what I'm doing. - Wernher Von Braun (1912-1977)
Strange to see this dragged out after so long.....even weirder, it was on the radio earlier and I thought, "hmm, must work this out."
I got as far as the bridge using the chords here, then it seemed to go a bit wonky.....it seemed alright when I played.....
(E)For your (B)love, for your love, I would (A)give the stars a(E)bove,
For your (B)love, for your love, I would (A)give you all I (C#m)could.....(B)
then back into the main Em/G/A/Am riff.....
I play the chords above in a kind of blues shuffle way.....
E and E6 played as a barre chord at the 7th fret, B and B6 at the 7th fret, A and A6 at the 5th fret, C#m at the 9th fret....
Does that make sense? If not, I'll try and record a video clip in the morning to show the fingerings.....
Don't forget, this song was the main reason why EC left the Yardbirds - he fell out with them over the direction the music was taking, he thought it was too "poppy".....Eric wanted to play the blues, so I guess the blues shuffle was his way of saying, "this is what we SHOULD be playing....."

This is a great song that I've been working on too lately. I just want to draw attention to the incredible acoustic version of it done by Humble Pie for anyone looking for an alternate way of playing it.

Hey thanks for this great clip Colin.
They took the song through to a whole new dimension there and, yet it was so beautifully restrained. Almost `Humble' reverence you might say.

PS Please can anyone in admin sort out the code on bull's original post so that we can all read it properly again ?

Mike did that just a few posts above...
Peace
Thanks David,
Sorry didn't see that post by Mike. I'm blind as a bat sometimes when it comes to computer screens.
Best regards,

I don't want to edit the original until I know I can fix the code (as you can see, it's hard to tell what it's "supposed" to look like). Sorry for the delay but, I don't know how to fix the code yet.
