What do ya'll think about a Ovation guitars? Are the low end ones any good?

back in the late 70's I owned a Celebrity model. played good and sounded nice. very affordable. and no issues.
I do dislike the sound hole design in current use. looks like some hobbit carving or hippie design. I prefer round centrally placed sound holes. not that offset stuff.

I own several. You should look on ebay before you commit to buying a low end one. You can find uh-mur-ican made classics for less than the price of a new import.

I have played several Ovation. A different style of guitar. They have a particular shape and a particular tone. Comfortable and easy to play.

i don't like them. i have trouble holding them still, and the back is plastic.
