I have a quick question, just out of curiosity. What’s your #1 biggest challenge related to learning to play the guitar?

Chord switching. Especially G to D. That's proving to be slow because of the big nature of the switch.

Heh, I had a flyaway pinky for a long time too. But a few months of conscious thought and keeping it hugged up to the ring finger fixed that, mostly. Now, it hides under fretboard, feeling dejected and inadequate, but it's getting employed now.

1 - switch time from cord to cord (too long)
2 - keeping in sync with metronome
3 - theory can be intimidating..
4 - feeling not progressing, ...fast enough.
5 - afraid of failing (not be able to play "that" song i want so bad)

Pick any one of them. They are all equally #1 to me..

Methinks you're unlikely to learn anything from that video
