Alesis Multi Mix 8 & audacity

I'm using audacity and the alesis MM8 to record ideas etc. I can record no problem, but i can't record any of the internal effects that are on the Alesis. I've checked the manual, online. It was working once before. Can any one help me on this, i'm stumped. Thank you.

There's a (green?) LED marked SIG - does this light when you play? If not, the effects processor is not receiving your guitar signal. Check the inputs.

Sorry, if this sounds childish, but you are pressing the effects knob to initiate the effect, aren't you?

The AUX B knob is turned up, I assume?

Are you using AUX B for anything? That would disable the internal effects.
I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?

Hi,

Yes the SIG light is on and the knob is intiated. I can hear the effects thru my headphones, and while i'm recording, but not in the playback. I've recorded with this alesis using effects before, so i know it works.

Thank you.
