Granted, but to balance the equation, you would also age 30 years in an instant.

I wish my guitar playing would improve in direct proportion to the number of pints of beer I poured down my gullet.

To narrow it down is so impossible: In The Falling Dark --Bruce Cockburn Blood on the Tracks --Bob Dylan (as well as the complete album as covered by Mary Lee's Corvette) Graceland --Paul Simon Harmony --Gordon Lightfoot Live 1969 --Simon and Garfunkel (it's neat to hear Art Garfunkel introduce thei...

To busk at Waterfront Station, and be so jaw-dropping excellent, that the whole station gets filled, pedestrian traffic gets backed up, and people can't get off the Skytrain, Seabus, and West Coast Express commuter train. I wish I didn't need to sleep so I could spend more time doing useful things... Granted, but now you are locked in your underground recording studio, without electricity, playing acoustic guitar by candlelight, no clocks, no metronome. Time has become meaningless. I wish I were a famous master luth...

Physical limitations?? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hSnUwA6c67k&NR=1 I love this clip, very inspirational. I think learning the guitar has become a lot less frustrating since I saw this guy on Youtube. This is inspirational. It's a shame that no one stopped to hear the song. I guess sometimes, pe...

- You are playing in the stairwell of an apartment block and somebody opens their door and tells you that they thought it was a CD playing (I did that once, except I was the guy telling, not the guy playing) - You buy a ukulele just so that you have something like a guitar to play in those situatio...

When your right and left fingertips are "steeple"ing, as your right hand is feeling your callouses on your left hand.
And others think your body language is some sort of arrogance, self-satisfaction. or superiority complex.

Re: "Amanda" by Boston; Who is she?

On the album are two "bookend" songs: the first song was Amanda. The last song was Hollyann. I was always under the impression that Amanda was Tom Sholz (sp) girl at the time; and Hollyann was Brad Delp's (R.I.P. :( ) girl at the time. The album credits show TS as writing or co-writing all the songs...

Whatever guitar you get, I hope you enjoy it.

I am of the school that if a guitar feels good, and makes you want to play it, it doesn't really matter. Go for it.
